I think the most important thing of a video game would be the story line. The reason why I say that the story line is the most important part because without a good story line the game will get very boring and if it's boring the player will just not play it and when he goes to buy a new game he probably not buy that if it is the same concept as his last game so he won't get bored of playing that one to.
